Kalimpong once was an important center of trade, being the terminal on the India-Tibet caravan route, and merchants from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet flocked here in order to trade their wares. Kalimpong has long been in the shadow of its more famous neighbor Darjeeling, but with its immense natural beauty, ideal location and moderate climate, it is now gradually beginning to come into its own
SIKKIM, a small Himalayan State. Its Geography is dominated by the most majestic mountain chain in the world which includes the Khangchendzonga, the world's third highest mountain which is worshipped as the guardian deity to their land.

Arrive Bhadrapur Airport. Pick up from Bhadrapur Airport and drive to Darjeeling (144km/6hrs) Halt at the border for immigration formalities.

Sightseeing in Darjeeling - Happy Valley Tea Estate, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Padmaja Himalayan Zoological Park Local Market, Ghoom Monastery & if available Toy Train Ride to Ghoom (1hr from Darjeeling). Overnight at Hotel

Early morning sunrise trip to Tiger Hill (14km/1hr). After breakfast drive to Gangtok (116km/5hr). Visit Rumtek Monastery on the way.
