Highlights
DARJEELING is situated at an altitude of 2134 m, surrounded by pine and fir trees and dominated by Mt. Kanchanga. It is incredibly beautiful town surrounded by lovely scenic spots and lush green tea gardens.
Kalimpong situated at a height of 1,250 m, enjoys the best climate in the region. Kalimpong once was an important center of trade, being the terminal on the India-Tibet caravan route, and merchants from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet flocked here in order to trade their wares. Kalimpong has long been in the shadow of its more famous neighbor Darjeeling, but with its immense natural beauty, ideal location and moderate climate, it is now gradually beginning to come into its own
SIKKIM, a small Himalayan State. Its Geography is dominated by the most majestic mountain chain in the world which includes the Khangchendzonga, the world's third highest mountain which is worshipped as the guardian deity to their land.
